- Prepare filling. Sauté green onions, meatballs, hoisin sauce, soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar and sesame oil. Simmer for one to two minutes. Stir in the cornstarch slurry and cook until the sauce thickens into a jam-like consistency. Let it cool completely in the refrigerator.
- The pizza dough into 8 to 10 equal pieces. Roll each piece into ball & flatten into a circle, keeping the edge thinner than the center.
- Place one meatball and filling in the center of each piece of dough. Gather edges and pleat to seal at the top.
- Place buns on parchment paper and let them rest for 15-20 minutes until slightly puffy.
- Steam for 15-17 minutes. Dough will be pale in color.
